That's a really, important question. So collecting equalities data is important because we need to understand the needs of our patients. Each person is unique and has characteristics that shape their experiences of life.
However, it's important to ask for this information having explained why we need it, and to ask in a way that is sensitive, and the timing needs to be right. And then we need to follow through. We need to make the adjustments that are needed based on what patients tell you and that then means that their experience of health care is more positive and it's likely that then their health outcomes will be better.
