Peer Support for Breastfeeding: Guidance for Scotland (2013)

This guidance is intended to inform professionals in Health Boards, and voluntary sector agencies who have responsibility for local breastfeeding activities, about the most up-to-date policies and evidence about breastfeeding peer support.    Acknowledging that professionals will need to use their judgment and take account of community populations and their specific needs, the guidance is not intended to be prescriptive, but rather to guide local activities, as Health Boards and voluntary sector agencies continue to support mothers to give their infants the best start in life.
