In this section of the hub you will explore your attitude and feelings when working with people who have a CSN.
The way you respond and the attitude you display towards people with a CSN can make their experience positive and centred around their needs. Alternatively, it can make their communication difficulty many times worse and can result in feelings of frustration, being ignored and denied the opportunity to participate in their own health and social care.
By the end of this section you will be able to
- describe how attitudes and feelings influence communication
- identify and respond appropriately to the communication preferences of people with a CSN
- reflect on ways of improving current practice
